Gladys Irene (Ryerson) Nickelson

October 6, 1914 – November 21, 1984

Gladys I. Nickelson of Palos Verdes Estates, a resident of the South Bay (California) for 29 years, died November 21.

Born Oct. 6, 1914, in Manitoba, Canada, to Earl and Ethel Ryerson. She graduated from Perry high school in 1932 and worked as a secretary to an armored car service in Oklahoma City.

Mrs. Nickelson worked as a contract manager with Northrop Aircraft in the Nortronics Division.

She was the president of Gardeners Garden Club, past president of Lorette Beta Sigma Phi, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband, Robert J.; a sister, Florence Vorndran; and two nephews of Perry, Okla.

Memorial services were at Gamby Mortuary Chapel in Lomita, CA. The family requests donations be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, Box 350, Watsonville, Calif. 95077.
