He was born Dec. 29, 1942, in Enid.  Gene attended school in Sapulpa in 1952-53.  At PHS he has been in the band four years, played football the past season, and is a member of the student council.  He also participated in the English assembly this year.  His hobby is mechanics, and his favorite subject is Problems of American Democracy.  Elliott will enroll at Oklahoma State university to prepare for a career in medicine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"two_third last_column\">\n<h1>Gene William Elliott<\/h1>\n<h3>December 29, 1942 &#8211; February 12, 2014<\/h3>\n<p>Gene William Elliott, 71, of Perry, Oklahoma was the son of Gilbert Forrest Elliott and<br \/>\nGeorgianna Elizabeth (Blake) Elliott. He was born on December 29, 1942 in Enid, Oklahoma; and lived with his family in Perry, Oklahoma.<\/p>\n<p>Gene was a 1960 graduate of Perry High School and attended classes at OSU for two years in Stillwater, Oklahoma, while helping with his dad&#8217;s construction business.<\/p>\n<p>In the fall of 1964 he joined the Navy. He was stationed in San Diego, California and then in Japan for two years as a Navy corpsman. <\/p>\n<p>Gene came home to Perry and married Rosetta Khoury. They divorced in 1974.<\/p>\n<p>He worked for The Charles Machine Works, Inc. (Ditch Witch\u00ae) in the parts department for approximately 30 years. He retired from Ditch Witch for several years and then returned as a Night Security Guard. He worked until he retired again in 2011. <\/p>\n<p>Gene enjoyed going to mountain man rendezvous with his brother Glen, where they would sell their<br \/>\nhandmade knives, guns, bows and arrows. He also enjoyed bicycle racing, model trains, hunting,<br \/>\nfishing, and just being outdoors in the town he loved &#8230; Perry, Oklahoma.<\/p>\n<p>He lost his battle with Alzheimer&#8217;s as well as heart and lung complications and passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Mercy Oklahoma Heart Hospital, surrounded by his family.<\/p>\n<p>Gene is survived by two sons: Chad Elliott and his wife Lana of Yukon, OK, and Todd Khoury and his wife Cindy of Jenks, OK; a daughter, Sheila French and her husband Kenny of Conway, Arkansas; six grandchildren: Kara and Gena Elliott and Jessica and Chelsea Khoury, Tyler Vernon and his wife Mimi of Conway, AR., and Ryan Vernon and his wife Perry, of Conway, AR; three great-grandchildren: Dayton and Leevi Vernon and Jonathan Vernon; a twin brother, Glen Elliott and his wife Shirley of, Perry, OK; one sister, Roberta McCulloch and her husband Ken of Wickenburg, AZ; and also Edward Bauserman of Alexandra, VA; and other numerous family members and friends. <\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Georgianna Elliott and a sister, Karen Grim.<\/p>\n<p>Memorial services for Gene Elliott are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the<br \/>\nPerry Church of Christ with Rev.
