S. &#8211; &#8217;21; Peroma &#8211; &#8217;21; Glee Club &#8211; &#8217;20; Sec.-Treas. &#8211; &#8217;20; Basketball -&#8217;21; Class Play &#8211; &#8217;20. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;She would rather talk to a man than be an angel, any day.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"two_third last_column\">\n<h1>Vera Hazel (Maloch) Roark<\/h1>\n<h3>September 18, 1902 &#8211; May 31, 2003<\/h3>\n<p>Vera Hazel Roark, born September 18, 1902, in Perry, Oklahoma Territory, to James Edward and Margaret Jane (Lord) Maloch, died May 31, 2003, at the age of 100.<\/p>\n<p>After her graduation from Perry High School in 1921, she and John William &#8220;Jack&#8221; Roark were married.  She was employed at Holland Hall School in Tulsa for 20 years, retiring as Business Office Manager in 1967. A lifelong Methodist, she was a member of the University Methodist Church in Tulsa.<\/p>\n<p>Her husband, Jack, preceded her in death in 1945. <\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her son, Ed Roark and his wife, Rosemary; her daughter, Una Mae Barr and her husband, Bob; her grandson, Robert Barr and wife, Alice; granddaughter, Dr. Laurie Croft and husband, Jerry; 2 great-granddaughters; her sister, Margaret Greigo of California; and a number of nieces and nephews.  <\/p>\n<p>She was a perfect daughter, sister, wife, mother and employee. <\/p>\n<p>A memorial service will be held at Memorial Park Chapel on Friday, June 13, 2003 at 2 p.m. Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"page-FullWidth.php","meta":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/13034"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=13034"}],"version-history":[{"count":4,"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/13034\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":13043,"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/13034\/revisions\/13043"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=13034"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
