She will be buried in Albuquerque, NM.<\/p>\n<p>Born January 24, 1903, in Pawnee, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of William Penn and Emma Louella (Hicks) Craig. She graduated from Perry high school in 1923. She taught at the Pleasant Valley, District 27, school before her marriage to Mark Thomas Whelan March 19, 1927 in Chandler, Oklahoma.
