Schmaltz, 79, Morrison.<\/p>\n<p>Rev. Joe Townsend will officiate. Burial will be in Fairlawn cemetery at Stillwater under direction of Strode Funeral home.  A prayer service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Strode Funeral home. There will be a viewing at the prayer service. The casket will not be opened at the church.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Schmaltz died Monday, July 15, 1996, at Stillwater Medical Center.<\/p>\n<p>She was born in Perry on June 27, 1917, the daughter of Ira and Katie (Blair) Shelton. She was a 1935 graduate of Perry high school and was married to Gottfried. P. Schmaltz on Feb. 6, 1937, in Stillwater.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Schmaltz had resided in Duncan for two years before making her home on a farm west of Morrison. She was a member and was active in the Altar society at St. Francis Catholic church. She also was involved in the Morrison Senior Citizens group and the Farm Home Administration.<\/p>\n<p>She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Donald G. Schmaltz and Dale P.
