Fitzhugh, 53, of 5117 NE 6th Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, died Sunday, November 23, 1969 in Miami, Fla.  <\/p>\n<p>He was born June 23, 1916, in Trenton, Missouri, to Elza Earl and Lillie Belle (Carney) Fitzhugh.  In 1935 he graduated from Perry high school.  <\/p>\n<p>On Feb. 3, 1941, Fitzhugh enlisted in the Coast Artillery Corps.  He served in the army and was stationed at Pearl Harbor the day it was bombed.<\/p>\n<p>A resident of Fort Lauderdale for 25 years, he was a department manager for Sears, Roebuck and Company.  He was a member of the American Legion 222.<\/p>\n<p>Fitzhugh is survived by two sons, Clayton J. and Brian T. Fitzhugh, Riviera Beach, Fla.; Stepson, Fred Sneeden of Ft. Lauderdale, and two sisters.  <\/p>\n<p>American Legion service 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be Wednesday 11 a.m. at the Kalis Funeral Home.  Rev Spencer Williamson of the Calvary Baptist Church officiating.
