Wakeman.  She was born in Poteau, Okla., December 20, 1923.<\/p>\n<p>She has attended school in Springfield and Lebanon, Mo., and Affton high school in St. Louis in addition to Perry high school.  <\/p>\n<p>She served as president of her home room and as secretary and treasurer of the Red Hot Pep organization and was a member of the student council, band, Queen Esther Society, and glee club.<\/p>\n<p>She received a student council honor pin and an award from the high school pep organization.  Hobbies are dancing and collecting souvenirs.<\/p>\n<p>Vedia plans to work during the summer and attend college in the fall.  She expects to be an accountant.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"two_third last_column\">\n<h1>Vedia Mae (Wakeman) Gillogly<\/h1>\n<h3>December 20, 1923 &#8211; June 22, 2002<\/h3>\n<p>Vedia Mae Gillogly, 78, died June 22, 2002, of multiple myeloma in McAlester, Oklahoma.<\/p>\n<p>Born December 20, 1923, to Charles Emmett and Ollie Mae (Crockett) Wakeman in Poteau, Oklahoma, she graduated from Perry high school in 1941.<\/p>\n<p>On November 9, 1941, she and Russell Lee Gillogly were married.
