Rev. Mark Clemons will officiate. Burial will be at Grace Hill cemetery under direction of Parker Funeral home.<\/p>\n<p>Wetzel was born at Perry, Sept. 22, 1897. He was a 1920 graduate of Perry high school and attended Oklahoma State university. He and Nona Laughlin were married at Enid, April 28, 1942.<\/p>\n<p>Wetzel served in the United States Navy during World War I and was a farmer-rancher until his retirement in 1975. <\/p>\n<p>He was a member of the Morrison Christian church and the American Legion.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Mrs. Wetzel, of the home, survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Wetzel, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Olan (Dorcas) Mercer, Mustang; and Mrs. Jan (Charlene) Wells, Oak Ridge, Term.; one son, James Wetzel, Denton, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Nell Coldiron of Hawaii; and Mrs. Luticia Cathey, Roswell, N.M.; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"page-FullWidth.php","meta":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/14366"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=14366"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/14366\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":14369,"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/14366\/revisions\/14369"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=14366"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
