Herman Brorsen, member of the Perry Future Farmers of America chapter four years, has served terms as treasurer, vice president, and president of the chapter during his career at PHS. He also has participated in wrestling four years, and has been named a junior master farmer by the state FFA. Herman was homeroom president two years and served a year on the student council. He also took part in his freshman class assembly. He expects to continue with agriculture, his favorite subject, next fall at Oklahoma A. & M. college. Herman, 18, is the son of Mrs. Nettie Brorsen, route one, Perry. He was born in Perry Nov. 21, 1938. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

November 21, 1938 – July 25, 1976<\/h3>\n

Herman Edwin Brorsen, 37, Perry area farmer-rancher, died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday at Stillwater Municipal hospital following an illness of several months.<\/p>\n

Born Nov. 21, 1938, at Perry, he was a 1957 graduate of Perry high school. <\/p>\n

He and the former Donna Mollet were married Dec. 22, 1956, at Stillwater. <\/p>\n

In addition to his farmer-rancher operations, Brorsen had worked two years at the Perry Post Office. He had been a call fireman from March 1, 1965 until Dec. 1, 1968, when he began full-time fireman duties at the Perry fire department. He resigned from that position June 1, 1972. <\/p>\n

He was a member of the First Baptist church.<\/p>\n

In addition to his wife, Donna, of the home address, survivors include: two sons, Douglas and Dennis and one daughter, Metha, all of the home; his mother, Mrs. Nettie Brorsen, Edmond; a brother, Bart Brorsen, Perry; and a sister, Mrs. Jim (Metha) Singleton, Sugarland, Tex.<\/p>\n

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist church of Perry with Rev. Hollis Morris will officiate Burial will be at Grace Hill cemetery.
