Charles Willett<\/h2>\n

– son of Mrs. Y. V. Willett, 903 Eighth street, was born in Enid 18 years ago. He attended both grade and high school in Perry.<\/p>\n

He is a member of the Alpha Eta club, the Lettermen’s club and the Teen Town council.<\/p>\n

Charles was a member of the student council 1943-44; editior-in-chief of the Perryscope 1943-44; member of the senior play cast in 1944; and manager for the football queen in 1943.<\/p>\n

He played basketball in junior high and lettered in football, playing six years. He was captain of the golf team in 1941-42-43-44.<\/p>\n

Willett expects to leave for training as a naval air cadet about July 1. After the war is over he expects to study medicine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Charles Fink Willett<\/h1>\n

March 9, 1926 – June 28, 1982<\/h3>\n

Charles F. Willett of Delta, Col., died Saturday, June 26, 1982, in Denver after a long illness. He was 56.<\/p>\n

Mr. Willett was an attorney with the firm of Charles F. Willett Esq., and a Delta resident for 22 years.<\/p>\n

He was born March 9, 1926, in Enid, Okla. He spent his childhood and attended schools in Perry, Okla. He was graduated from Duke University and Fordham Law School.<\/p>\n

Mr. Willett married Sandra J. Morris in Las Vegas, Nev., Sept. 22, 1979. She survives.<\/p>\n

Before moving to Delta, he lived in New York, N.Y. His interests included golfing, hunting, fishing, boating, traveling and gardening. He was a member of Delta BPOE Lodge No. 1235, the Western Slope Shrine Club, the El Jebel Order of Denver, and the Delta Masonic Lodge, AF & AM.<\/p>\n

Mr. Willett was a member of the bar associations in Colorado, Oklahoma and New York, the American Bar Association and the Seventh Judicial District Bar Association, a regional organization. He was on the Board of Governors for the Colorado Bar Association, and was a past president and special prosecutor for the Seventh Judicial District. He was also a member of the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, and a former special agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.<\/p>\n

Mr. Willett was on the board of directors of the Mountain View Travel Agency in Delta; a past chairman of the Delta County American Red Cross; the past president of the Cottonwood Golf Course, of which he was an eight-time club champion; the Montrose Golf Course, of which he was also a club champion; and vice president of the Delta County Booster Club.<\/p>\n

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include one daughter, Allison G. Klein of Tempe, Ariz.; on son, Yeulin V. Willett, II of Delta; two sisters, Genevieve “Jennie” Slade of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Ruth E.
