Monday in the Gill Funeral Home Chapel.  Miss Ransom, who had been in ill health the past few years, had been critically ill the past 10 days. <\/p>\n<p>Officiating at the services will be the Rev. Charlie W. Shedd, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>She was born Dec. 14, 1888, in Ithaca. N. Y., to Charles and Edith (Holt) Ransom. When a small child she moved to Oklahoma with her parents. Her father for a number of years was a prominent lawyer and rancher in the Perry vicinity.<\/p>\n<p>She graduated from Perry high school in 1908 and continued her education at the normal school in Edmond. A member of the 1914 graduating class of the University of Kansas, Miss Ransom served as an English teacher in Oklahoma schools 15 years, 11 of which she was a member of the McAlester High School faculty. <\/p>\n<p>She returned to the Ponca City several years ago to care for her invalid mother. Miss Ransom was a member of the Presbyterian Church.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by a sister, Mrs. A. H.
