Powell, Oklahoma City, died suddenly Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, of recently diagnosed liver cancer.<\/p>\n<p>Florence had received a high clearance in special services at Tinker Air Force Base during WWII.<\/p>\n<p>She later became secretary at St. Charles Catholic School for 12 years. She thoroughly loved being around children, her family, singing in the church choir, and cooking large meals.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Clay Powell; her son and daughter, Michael and his wife, Jaquelyn, and Karen and her husband, Ken Kenworthy Jr.; her brothers, Carl Endres and his wife, Janice, and Frank Endres; her sister, Marie McFayden; and eight grandchildren, Tripp, Lauren, Michelle, Michael Jr., Kylie, Saura, Karsten and Truman.<\/p>\n<p>Her family said, &#8220;We all love her and will miss her loving smile and gentle touch. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000, at the Church of the Epiphany of the Lord in Oklahoma City. Interment followed at 2 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, Perry, OK. Services are under the direction of Vondel L.
