Ealy, 85, 2121 Meadowlark Road, Manhattan, Kansas, died Jan. 20 at her Meadowlark residence following an extended illness.<\/p>\n<p>She was born July 30, 1905, in Perry, Oklahoma, to Josiah and Jessie (Watts) Smith.  She graduated from Perry High School in 1923 and attended Oklahoma A. &#038; M.  <\/p>\n<p>In 1925 she began her teaching career at Freemont, Noble County rural school, and continued teaching at both Perry and Stillwater Public Schools.  <\/p>\n<p>She and Robert P. Ealy were married on May 29, 1939.  They spent their early married life in Stillwater, Oklahoma, before moving to Manhattan, KS, in 1961.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Ealy was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert Ealy, of the home; and three brothers, Brace Smith, Perry, Okla., Argus Smith, Lawton, Okla., and Forest Smith, Stillwater, Okla.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral services are 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Al Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be at Sunrise Cemetery.
