Jimmy Allen Davis, 17, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. F. T. Davis, route one, Perry. Born Oct. 21, 1946, in Drumright, Davis plans to enroll in some type of technical school after graduation. He attended Fourdee grade school, 1952-58, and Oakdale Center grade school, 1959-60. Davis was secretary of his class in 1960-61. He played football, 1960-64; took part in wrestling, 1960-61; and played basketball, 1961-62. Bookkeeping is his favorite subject. He likes hunting as a hobby.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\"\"Jimmy Allen Davis, 74, of Perry, Oklahoma, was born on October 21, 1946. He is the son of Floyd Thomas \u201cJack\u201d and Opal Alene (Frazier) Davis. Jimmy went to be with his heavenly Father and his loving wife, Vernona on November 10, 2020 at his residence in Perry, Oklahoma.<\/p>\n

Jim joined the United States Army right out of high school and served his country honorably. He then married the love of his life, Vernona Ellen Graves on June 4, 1966, at the Antelope Valley Church in Billings, Oklahoma.<\/p>\n

He spent many years working in the oilfield industry doing construction work, after that he worked as the Perry City Manager for many years.<\/p>\n

Jim was a very fun guy who enjoyed fishing, hunting, arrowhead hunting, one arm bandit and just following and watching his grandkids at all their events. He could sit for hours and tell the grandkids stories about when he was in the service. He was an avid John Wayne fan. Jim will be missed by all that knew and loved him.<\/p>\n

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Perry, Oklahoma.<\/p>\n

Cherishing his memory is his son, Jeff Davis and his wife, Sammy of Perry, Oklahoma; daughter, Steffani Belle Davis Richards of Perry, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; Aspyn Payge Ward of Edmond, Oklahoma, Karstyn Kayde Davis and his fianc\u00e9, Tiania of Jones, Oklahoma, Mikenzi Belle Richards, Hunter Graham, Cooper Richards all of Perry, Oklahoma; four great grandchild, Keagan Ward of Edmond, Oklahoma, Kollins Davis, Everly Davis, and Paxton Horton all of Jones, Oklahoma; two brothers, Tommy Davis and his wife, Carolyn of Perry, Oklahoma, J. P. Davis and his wife Dana of Edmond, Oklahoma. <\/p>\n

Preceded in death by his wife, Vernona; parents, Jack and Opal Davis; one brother, Robert Lee Davis.<\/p>\n

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 13, 2020, at First Baptist Church, Perry, Oklahoma. Brother Kim Hays will officiate. Interment will be held at Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry, Oklahoma.
