He graduated from Perry High School in 1924.<\/p>\n<p>Following his graduation from Oklahoma A. &#038; M. he took a position with the Perry Mill and  worked as an assistant sales manager for the Gold Medal Flour Co. in Oklahoma City. <\/p>\n<p>He and Viola Elizabeth Knebel were married on October 12, 1935.  <\/p>\n<p>Merry was a retired executive with General Mills.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his wife, Viola; a son, Henry L. Merry, of Houston, Texas; daughter, Mrs. Roger (Elizabeth) O&#8217;Daniel, Evansville, Indiana; two sisters, Mrs. Harry B. (Ella) Hayman, Ponca City, Oklahoma, Mrs. Kenneth C. (Jane) Anderson, Portland, Oregon; and four grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>His is interred at Rose Hill Burial Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
