Buffington of route one, Perry, has been a member of the Perry Future Farmers of America chapter the past four years.  His plans for the immediate future are indefinite.  Richard was born July 18, 1934, in Sumner, and before entering Perry schools attended Shiloh and Highland.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"two_third last_column\">\n<h1>Richard Marlin Buffington<\/h1>\n<h3>July 18, 1934 &#8211; January 27, 2022<\/h3>\n<p>Richard Marlin Buffington, 87, was born in Perry, Oklahoma, on July 18, 1934, to Ralph and Marie Buffington. He entered his heavenly home on January 27, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Richard enjoyed welding, quail hunting, fishing, talking about fishing, and a good cup of coffee.<\/p>\n<p>In his later years he enjoyed selling scrap car parts, which included trips to Arkansas with Evelyn and more than likely a trip to the Casino.<\/p>\n<p>Richard is survived by his longtime companion, Evelyn Thornbrue; brothers, Les Buffington and Robert Buffington, and wife, Bonnie Buffington; his children, Cindy Au, Terry Lee, and Rodney Epp; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Marie Buffington; his wife, Bobbie Buffington; son, Randy Buffington; sister, Betty Skalenda; sister-in-law, Maxine Buffington; and granddaughter, Ashley Au. <\/p>\n<p>Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the Trout Funeral Home of Perry, 1408 N. 7th St. in Perry, OK 73077.
