Named most spirited of the senior class is Misty Lynn Karcher, daughter of Loren and Shirley Karcher of route 3, Perry. Misty was born in Perry June 8, 1965. She is a member of Christ Lutheran church. Misty attended Christ Lutheran school from kindergarten through sixth grades and completed the remainder of her education at Perry public schools. Misty plans to seek employment upon graduation from high school. Misty participated in vocal music seventh through twelfth grades and played powderpuff football her sophomore and junior years. Her hobbies are riding bikes, swimming, and jogging, and her favorite school subject is home economics. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

June 8, 1965 – April 14, 2023<\/h3>\n

Misty Lynn Karcher, age 57, passed from this life unexpectedly from recent health issues on Friday, April 14, 2023, in Perry.<\/p>\n

Misty was born June 8, 1965, in Perry, the daughter of Loren and Shirley Karcher. She attended Christ Lutheran School in Perry through the sixth grade and was a Perry High School graduate in 1984. She worked as a caregiver for the elderly in the health care business. No one was a stranger to Misty. She loved to socialize and liked to speak to everyone. She loved music and made sure she always had money for a coke. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church where she was baptized and confirmed.<\/p>\n

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Shirley and Larry Garvie, Morrison; sister and brother-in-law, Shurlyn and Jeffrey Maltz, Guthrie, Oklahoma; nephews: Conan Maltz and his wife Alexis, and Zane Maltz and his wife Sadie, all of Guthrie; aunts and uncles: Gary and Becky Gerken, Waurika, Oklahoma; Phyllis Stark, Asher, Oklahoma; Jerry Karcher, Jim and Karla Karcher, Keith Karcher, and Bob and Joy Justus, all of Perry; and Wayne and Holly Karcher, Woodlands, Texas; and numerous cousins and a host of friends.<\/p>\n

She was preceded in death by her father, Loren, and her grandparents, Walter and Eula Karcher and D.W. and Juanita Gerken.<\/p>\n

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Christ Lutheran Church. Pastor John Wackler will officiate. Burial will be in Richburg Cemetery.
