She has attended school in Sumner District 81 and in Perry.  She is a member of the Girl Reserves, Home Economics club, glee club, games club and plans to teach Home Economics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"two_third last_column\">\n<h1>Hazel Naomi (Spillman) Chessmore<\/h1>\n<h3>March 20, 1921 &#8211; October 19, 2023<\/h3>\n<p>Hazel Naomi Chessmore, formerly from Perry, Oklahoma, passed away October 19, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was 102 years old.<\/p>\n<p>Hazel was born on March 20, 1921, in Perry, Oklahoma, to Seth and Lottie (Anglemeyer) Spillman. Hazel married Claude Chessmore on July 15, 1945, and together they raised two children.<\/p>\n<p>Hazel was many things to many people\u2026Loving wife, Mama (Youth Guider, Caregiver, Taxi Driver, Cheerleader, 4-H Leader), Friend and Neighbor. Perhaps the name she liked best was \u201cGrannie.\u201d She was a longtime member of The Ladies of 76 Home Demonstration Club and also the Morrison Christian Church.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include: her daughter, Charlotte Burandt and her husband Richard; her son, Steve Chessmore and his wife Becky; grandchildren, Angela Loken, Sarah Eads, Heather Burandt, Kevin Chessmore, and Brigette Ellington; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>Her funeral will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2023, 11 a.m., at the Morrison Christian Church.
