He was born in Morrison and attended school there before coming to Perry.<\/p>\n<p>Sloan, whose hobby is fishing, is a member of the Distributive Education club and visual education group.  His favorite subject is history.  Sloan intends to enter Northern Oklahoma Junior college following graduation.<\/p>\n<p>He will take part in the senior class assembly on Saturday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"two_third last_column\">\n<h1>Johnnie Albert Sloan<\/h1>\n<h3>April 19, 1932 \u2013 February 16, 2018<\/h3>\n<p>Johnnie Sloan, 85, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. He was born April 19, 1932, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to the late John Harrison and Mary Ellen (Williams) Sloan.<\/p>\n<p>He was a veteran of the Army and a paratrooper with the 11th Airborne. Johnnie was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Indiana University, and enjoyed fishing. He was a great husband, dad, and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.<\/p>\n<p>Johnnie is survived by his wife of 65 years, Peggy (Smith) Sloan; sons, Johnnie Sloan, Jr. (Cindy), Donald Sloan (Patty), and Brian Sloan (Irma); daughters, Sharon Schutz (Bret) and Dee Sloan; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Sloan (Rosalyn); sister, Luella Skov; brother-in-law, Ken Smith, and beloved cat, Meco.<\/p>\n<p>A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 19, 2018, at Alexander Memorial Park, Heritage Chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, Evansville, Indiana, officiated by Rev.
