Barker<\/h1>\n<h3>August 20, 1913 &#8211; April 29, 2000<\/h3>\n<p>Russel E. Barker, 86, died April 29, 2000, in Oklahoma City.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Noble County, on Aug. 20, 1913, he was the son of George E. and Fannie M. Sanders Barker. <\/p>\n<p>He married Veda Richey Dec. 12, 1935, in Perry, and had lived in Ardmore since 1954, working as a production superintendent for Texas Pacific Oil Co. He was a member of CrystalRock Cathedral. <\/p>\n<p>Preceding him in death were: his wife, in February 1999; a brother, Howard; and sisters, Helen and Hazel. <\/p>\n<p>Survivors include daughters, Carol Suttle, Noble, Sharon Miller, Alamogordo, N.M., Linda Houldson, Lone Grove; brothers, Wesley, Salina, Kan., and Lester, Overland Park; a sister, Maxine Jerome, Perry; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. <\/p>\n<p>Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Chapel with the Rev. Walt Spradling officiating.
