(Casey) Baler, 508 North Eighth, Ponca City, OK, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Buffalo General Hospital at Buffalo where he had been hospitalized for two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Born Feb. 24, 1893, at Oklahoma City, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Balcerkiewiczy.  He moved as a small child to Billings and attended elementary school.  He later attended Tonkawa Prep School and Kendall College (now Tulsa University) at Tulsa.<\/p>\n<p>He enlisted in the armed forces at Perry on May 21, 1918, and was discharged Feb. 26, 1918, at Ft. Sill.<\/p>\n<p>Following Balcer&#8217;s discharge, he served his apprenticeship as an electrician at Enid and Ponca City.  He and Dora Bowman were married Nov. 26, 1924, at Ponca City.<\/p>\n<p>He was employed by Continental Oil Company for seven years and also worked for different electrical companies here until his retirement Feb. 7, 1958.<\/p>\n<p>He was a member of the Catholic Church, Local Union 444 IBEW and the American Legion.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include his wife, Dora, of the home; four sons, Jim of Santa Barbara, Calif., John B. of Buffalo, Gary of Fort Mead, Md., and Bennie, who is stationed in Germany with the U. S. Army; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy McKeown, 1704 North Seventh; five brothers, Frank of Detroit, Tom of Hawthorne, Calif., Martin C. of 936 North Second, Leo of 1312 South Fifth, and Joe, 1112 South Fifth; two sisters, Mrs. Julia Bellinghausen, Tonkawa, and Mrs. Helen Bissey, Detroit, and six grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by a brother, John L., who died June 30, 1955, and a sister who died in infancy.<\/p>\n<p>Requiem mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary&#8217;s Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph B. McGurk in charge.
