Her parents made the run into the Cherokee Outlet and claimed 160 acres east of Perry where Levertha grew up. She graduated from Perry high and moved to Wichita, Kansas, in 1925 where she found employment with the telephone company.  <\/p>\n<p>She and Kay Allen were married on August 7, 1928, in Newton, Kansas, at the Lutheran parsonage.  They made their home in Wichita where Mr. Allen was associated with his father in the Allen Book and Shoe store.  In 1929 they were blessed with a son, Dee Edard.  The business with Kay&#8217;s father continued to thrive, expanding to Ben Franklin stores, which Kay took over after his father&#8217;s death.  <\/p>\n<p>The Allens divorced and Levertha married Herbert Hugh Curnutt, Wichita dairy executive, June 1, 1956.  In 1962 they moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where Mr. Curnutt purchased a bottling company.  <\/p>\n<p>Both of her husbands and son predeceased Levertha.  She was also predeceased by her parents; sister, Wanda Gercken; and brothers, Samuel Widiger and Robert Widiger.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include sisters, Martha Luedke and Lydia Miller; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church, Scottsdale, AZ.
