He graduated from Perry high school in 1925. <\/p>\n<p>On Jan. 29, 1927, he was married in Perry to Gladys Knori, who survives. He had worked in the oil field since a young man, and had served as a driller and was in the production department from 1957 until 1969. He moved to Perry in 1918 from Sumner.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors in addition to his wife include one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Evelyn) Meeks, Stillwater; one son, Bob Shea, Haskell, Texas; seven sisters, Mrs. Dovie Webber, Mrs. Nell Wie-derkehr and Miss Daisy Shea of Perry; Mrs. Maggie Casparis, Red Rock; Mrs. Dorthy DeVil-biss, Austin, Texas; Mrs. Bestina Uhl, Midland, Texas; and Mrs. Virginia Burton, Tulsa; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.<\/p>\n<p>Services will be Monday in Newton chapel, Perry, with Rev. Don Harnden, pastor of First Prebyterian church, officiating.
