After graduation Harold Thomas Henry plans to enter school at Oklahoma A. & M. School of Technical Training, Okmulee, where he will major in radio and television service. The 18-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. O. O. Henry, route 1, Perry, he was born April 23, 1936, at Konawa. Harold received his grade schooling at Shawnee and Mustang and attended Crescent high school during his freshman year. While attending Perry high school, he was a member of the student council, 1951-52; Future Farmers of America, 1950-54; Future Teachers of America, 1951-53; teen town, 1951-54; and distributive education, 1953-54. Harold has also participated in football, 1950-51 and 1952-54; basketball, 1950-54; and baseball, 1950-51.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Harold Thomas “Hank” Henry, 73, of Midwest City, OK, passed away March 23, 2010. <\/p>\n

Born April 23, 1936, in Konawa, OK, he was the son of Otis and Pearl Wilson Henry. He graduated from Perry High School in 1954. He served his country in the United States Army from 1954 to 1964. Hank loved Country Music and played steel guitar for five years, playing in bands for Patti Page and Hank Thompson.<\/p>\n

He was in Auto sales for 22 years and was Sales Manager of the Year for Ford Motor Co. in 1982. Hank was Chairman of the Board with Southern Legends Entertainment and Performing Arts Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n

One of his enjoyments was working in his yard. When friends came to the house, Hank would take them to the backyard to show off his two fish ponds.<\/p>\n

Survivors include his friend Freda Staats of Midwest City, and his sister, Shirley Tearney and husband Bill, of Perry, OK.<\/p>\n
