Woodruff, 81, a resident of the Oklahoma Veterans center at Sulphur, who died at 7:30 a.m. Friday at the center.<\/p>\n<p>Rev. Don Harnden, pastor of the United Presbyterian church, will officiate at services at Parker Funeral home. Burial will be at Grace Hill cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>A former Perry resident, Woodruff was born May 12, 1895, at Colby, Kan., and came to Perry in 1900. He was a 1917 graduate of Perry high school and was associated with the Woodruff Merchantile company along with his father, the late B. J. Woodruff. The business was located in a building on the north side of the square that now houses Zorba&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>Woodruff served in the Army Air Force during World War I, stationed at Love Field at Dallas, Tex. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and the American Legion. In more recent years, Woodruff was a clothing salesman in Tulsa and Fort Worth, Tex. He retired in 1974.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. John Mugler and Mrs. A. L. Ebersole, both of Perry; three nieces, Mrs. John Dunn, Woodward; Mrs. Payton S. Carnes Jr., Wichita Falls, Tex.; and Mrs. Chesley K.
