    {"id":5601,"date":"2016-10-14T14:36:57","date_gmt":"2016-10-14T19:36:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/?page_id=5601"},"modified":"2024-10-11T18:13:19","modified_gmt":"2024-10-11T23:13:19","slug":"obituary-campbell-clarence-melvin","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/?page_id=5601","title":{"rendered":"Obituary &#8211; Campbell, Clarence Melvin"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"one_third\">\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Class of 1948<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"two_third last_column\">\n<h1>Clarence Melvin Campbell<\/h1>\n<h3>September 9, 1925 &#8211; July 25, 1983<\/h3>\n<p>Clarence Campbell, 57, route two, Perry, died at 11:40 p.m. Monday at Perry Memorial hospital where he had been a patient since July 17.<\/p>\n<p>Born at Perry, Sept. 9, 1925, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mel Campbell.  He was a graduate of Perry high school and served with the United States Army during World War II.  He and Carlene Fincher were married Oct. 15, 1960, at Duncan.<\/p>\n<p>Campbell was a logging and perforating operator for Dresser Atlas until his retirement in 1980.  He was a member of the Church of Christ, the Perry Rotary club and the Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors, in addition to Mrs. Campbell, of the home, include two daughters, Mrs. Gina Ellis, Enid; and Mrs. Kefvin (Mara) Stanley, Perry; three grandchildren, Rodney Ellis, Sheila Stanley and Stephanie Stanley; and two sisters, Mrs. Olen McGee, Wichita, Kan.; and Mrs. Wilburn Frick, Perry.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ with ministers Mike Watters and Gerald Stewart officiating.  Burial will be at Grace Hill cemetery.
