Beasley Sr., 86, 1203 Locust street.  Burial will be in Grace Hill cemetery under direction of Brown Funeral home.<\/p>\n<p>Beasley died at 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 1997 at Edmond.  He was the son of Shadrick and Roxie (Alterman) Beasley and was born Dec. 27, 1910 in Noble county, north of Perry.<\/p>\n<p>Beasley attended Noble county rural schools and was a 1928 graduate of Perry high school. He attended Oklahoma A&#038;M.<\/p>\n<p>On July 23, 1932, he and the former Mary Lou Orcutt were married at Pawnee. She preceded her husband in death in 1976.<\/p>\n<p>Beasley served in the United States Army during World War II and was detained as a prisoner of war. He retired as Noble county engineer after 50 years of employment.<\/p>\n<p>He had been a member of the Black Bear Conservation District since 1952 and served as secretary of that organization, was an assistant Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts and a member of the American Legion.<\/p>\n<p>Memorials may be made to the First Christian church or the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Among survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Stewart &#8220;Skipper&#8221; and Lori Beasley, Edmond; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou and Jerry Grant, Las Vegas, NV; five grandchildren, Jennifer Dillard, Jason Dillard, Stewart Beasley III, Emory Beasley and Evan Beasley; and one great-grandson, Jason Dillard Jr.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his wife, Beasley was prceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, one sister and two children.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"page-FullWidth.php","meta":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/6384"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=6384"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/6384\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":6385,"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/6384\/revisions\/6385"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=6384"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
