He is the 17-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Thorman, 1313 Kaw street.  He was born Dec. 3, 1932, in Clay Center, Kan.  John has attended only Perry schools and was a member of the distributive education club during the past two years.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"two_third last_column\">\n<h1>John Wilfred Thorman<\/h1>\n<h3>December 3, 1932 &#8211; May 23, 1984<\/h3>\n<p>Former Perryan, John Wilfred Thorman, 51, Garland, Texas, died at approximately 12:30 a.m. Wednesday at Dallas,Texas.  <\/p>\n<p>Born at Clay Center, Kan., December 3, 1932, he attended Christ Lutheran school in Perry and was a graduate of Perry high school. He was assigned to combat duty in Korea, serving from 1950-52 with the I company, 45th infantry.<\/p>\n<p>He was a 1960 graduate of Oklahoma State university at Stillwater. He was an auditor for Western Electric of Dallas and had been an employee of that firm for 24 years. He was a member of the Lutheran church.<\/p>\n<p>Thorman is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Thorman, Perry; two sisters, Mrs. Bill (Isabell) Johnson and Mrs. Ray (Ann) Gottschalk, both of Perry; and one brother, Howard Thorman, Blue Ridge, Texas.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran church.  Rev. Martin Helmer, Winfield, Kan., will officiate.
