S. Powers, was born November 29, 1918, in Perry, Oklahoma.  He has attended school in Perry.<\/p>\n<p>While a student in Perry he has been interested in Football and Basketball.<\/p>\n<p>Following graduation he expects to enter college.  He is interested in business.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"two_third last_column\">\n<h1>John William Powers<\/h1>\n<h3>November 29, 1918 &#8211; December 27, 1994<\/h3>\n<p>\ufeffFormer Perry resident John W. Powers, 76, died at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 1994, at the Veterans Administration hospital in Muskogee.<\/p>\n<p>Graveside rites are planned for 2 p.m. Thursday at Grace Hill cemetery in Perry under direction of Brown Funeral home.<\/p>\n<p>Powers was born in Guthrie on Nov. 29, 1918. His parents were Walter and Marguerite (Hazen) Powers. He was a graduate of Perry high school and served at Pearl Harbor with the United States Navy.<\/p>\n<p>He and Eddie Newsom were married on June 4, 1949.
