She has lived in Perry for 16 years, attending the schools here.<\/p>\n<p>She is the daughter of Mrs. Essie Glass and has two brothers, Sgt. Shirley J. Goodwin and AMM 2-0 Glen M. Goodwin, in the armed services.<\/p>\n<p>Gladys is a member of the Baptist Young People&#8217;s union.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"two_third last_column\">\n<h1>Gladys O. (Goodwin) Carlon<\/h1>\n<h3>August 13, 1925 &#8211; May 27, 2005<\/h3>\n<p>Gladys O. Carlon, 79, of McLoud, OK died Friday, May 27, at a local hospital.<\/p>\n<p>She was born Aug. 13, 1925, in Vale, Ore. She attended school in Perry and graduated from Perry High School.<\/p>\n<p>She married Glen Carlon on June 9, 1946, at her mother&#8217;s home in Perry.<\/p>\n<p>Except for a time in California when she worked as a bookbinder, she was a homemaker in McLoud. She was a member of McLoud First Baptist Church.<\/p>\n<p>She was preceded in death by her son, Edmond Carlon, and one sister, Isobell Goodwin.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her husband, Glen, of the home; three brothers, Wallace Goodwin of New Mexico, Shirley Goodwin of Perry and Glen Goodwin of Claremore; several nieces, nephews and other family.<\/p>\n<p>Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at McLoud First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Graham officiating and the Rev. Bill Derrick assisting.
