    {"id":8893,"date":"2017-08-08T11:52:35","date_gmt":"2017-08-08T16:52:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/?page_id=8893"},"modified":"2026-04-04T11:26:52","modified_gmt":"2026-04-04T16:26:52","slug":"obituary-pratt-floyd-sterling","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/perryokalumni.com\/?page_id=8893","title":{"rendered":"Obituary &#8211; Pratt, Floyd Sterling"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"one_third\">\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Class of 1937<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"two_third last_column\">\n<h1>Floyd Sterling Pratt<\/h1>\n<h3>March 31, 1920 &#8211; April 16, 1976<\/h3>\n<p>\ufeffFloyd &#8220;Snick&#8221; Pratt, 56, a former member of the Perry high school wrestling team, died April 16, 1976, at his home at Pasadena, California.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include his wife, Gloria, of the home; two sons, Tony, of the home; and Michael, Oklahoma City; a brother, Bill, Borger, Texas; five sisters, Mrs. Peggy Wheeler, Calhan, Colorado; Miss Catherine Pratt, Whittier, California; Mrs. Pat Pyle, Denver, Colorado; Mrs. Judy Phillippe, Liberal, Kansas; and Mrs. Joan Harris, Dallas, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>Pratt was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Pratt. He was a 1937 graduate of Perry high school. In addition to wrestling with the Perry high school team, he was a former member of the mat team at the University of Oklahoma.  He held the rank of major and was a battalion executive officer, anti-aircraft, in the European Theater during World War II.
