He was seriously injured Feb. 8 when attacked by a bull on the family farm and was left partially paralyzed.  He has been completing his school work in Oklahoma City hospitals.  Unruh attended grade and junior high in Conroe, Texas, and Oakdale Center.  He was a 1964 football tri-captain and has been on the squad four years.  He is vice president of his homeroom, FFA member, all-conference football guard, won the Lions club football medal, and is an FFA State Farmer.  He hopes to attend Oklahoma State university. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"two_third last_column\">\n<h1>Spencer Dwight Unruh<\/h1>\n<h3>March 6, 1947 &#8211; January 30, 1979<\/h3>\n<p>Spencer Unruh, 31, northwest of Perry, died at approximately 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at his home.<\/p>\n<p>Unruh was born March 6, 1947, and had attended Perry schools. He had been a Perry high school football star when a crippling farm accident halted his athletic career.<\/p>\n<p>Unruh was a graduate of Perry high school and Okmulgee Tech. He was a member of the Garber United Methodist church.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors, in addition to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Olen Unruh, route one, Perry, include a brother, Gary, of the home; his paternal grandfather, Irving Unruh, Enid; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ida Jantz, Enid; four aunts, Mrs. Ella Payne, Enid; Mrs. Jack (Ruby) Randolph, Birmingham, Ala.; Mrs. Minnie Headrick, Norman; and Mrs. Melvin (Emaline) Smith, Loveland, Colo.; and four uncles, Leland Unruh, Breckenridge; Leroy Unruh, Ringwood; Lee Jantz, Enid; and Clayton Jantz, Meno.<\/p>\n<p>Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Henninger-Allen funeral home, 601 West Broadway, Enid. Officiating will be Rev. Eldon Moelling and Rev. Lyman W. Sprunger.
