Gerald Dominick “Guy” Wagner

February 21, 1941 – November 5, 1999

Gerald Dominick “Guy” Wagner, 58, passed away at 4:58 a.m. Friday, November 5, 1999 at Perry Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Born February 21, 1941, in Perry, he was the son of Emil and Frances (Blatt) Wagner. He attended White rural school in Noble county and Perry public schools.

He worked as a diesel mechanic for Lee Way Motor Freight in Oklahoma City; Mid-America in Tucamcari, NM, Smith Trucking, Rupp Drilling Service, Taber’s Welding, and Cliff’s 66. He also worked for area farmers and ranchers and had done painting, carpentry work, corral and fence building.

He served with the United States Army’s 95th division at Fort Dix, NJ; and was a member of the 95th division reserve unit at Stillwater.

Wagner was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and two brothers.

Survivors include: two sons, Jerald David “Jay” Wagner, Blackwell and Brent Norton, Stillwater; a daughter, Ebony Aguilar, Edmond; A stepson, Adam Mathis, OKC; three brothers, Raymond Francis Wagner, Perry, William Emil Wagner, Wichita, KS and Marvin Larry Wagner, OKC; five sisters, Mrs. Jack (Virginia) Slay, and Mrs. Albert (Esther Smith) Cawood, both of Perry, Mrs. Cecil (Emily) Learning and Mrs. James (Dolly) Kent, both of Pond Creek and Mrs. Joe (Jean Ann) Glaser, Ponca City; a twin sister, Mrs. Charlie (Geraldine “Jerry”) Gilbreath, Perry; an uncle, John D. Wagner & his wife, LaVina, Perry; a special friend, Kathy Bovard; two grandchildren, Kayla and Adam; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 1999, at the First Baptist Church in Perry. Rev. Richard Barker will officiate. Private committal services will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for cancer research or the charity of the donor’s choice.
