Honor Roll Celebration & Fundraiser

The 2024 Honor Roll Banquet and Fundraiser will be hosted on Friday, September 13, 2024, 6 PM, at the Perry Lower Elementary School.

The purpose of our Association’s Honor Roll is to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of former students, faculty, and staff of Perry High School. We strive to honor individuals who demonstrate notable life achievements, some even overcoming or persevering through personal hardships in order to contribute to their school, community, profession, and/or society.

Nominations are submitted each year by anyone interested in recognizing the achievements of alumni and are selected by the event committee.

Ron Hesser – 1965
Hesser and his wife founded Crio International, a nonprofit that responds to needs in more than 35 African nations.

Peggy (Thompson) Haxton – 1966
Haxton gives generously of her time to keep PHSAA business on track, leads other organizations, and served in many roles at the Cherokee Strip Museum.

Rick Johnson – 1975
Johnson is a charter member of the Perry Education Foundation, a trustee of the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, and a former school board member.

Steve Herod – 1977
Herod is a successful oil and gas industry leader, having started and been CEO of several companies, and is active in industry and charitable organizations.

Chance Leonard – 1987
Leonard helped raise funds for Perry’s Wrestling Park and was producer of the Price of Legacy, an award-winning Perry wrestling documentary.
