Lawrence Edward Vester Jr. plans to enter the military after graduation. Lawrence is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Vester, 335 Ivanhoe street. He was born Jan. 18, 1966, in Belton, Texas. Lawrence received his secondary education in Perry public schools. He was a member of the wrestling squad six years. the track team three years and was on the football team seven years. He was tri-captain of the wrestling team one year. His favorite subject is English and his hobbies are jogging and listening to music.

Lawrence Edward Vester Jr., 52, died peacefully on January 5, 2019, in Perry, Oklahoma.

Lawrence was born on January 18, 1966, in Temple, Texas, to Lawrence and Dianna Vester. He attended Perry High School. After graduating he enlisted in the Army. He served his country in the United States Army from 1984 to 1988.

After leaving the Army Lawrence resided in Böblingen, Germany, where he met Iris Kemmerich and they proceeded to fall in love. In the following year they were blessed with a son Anthony Kemmerich. In 1993 Lawrence returned to the United States where he worked various jobs. He was a very outspoken person who enjoyed reading, spending time with family and friends. He was a very caring person and loved to make sure everyone around him was well taken care of; everyone loved his personality and wonderful smile. His smile was contagious, and he could light up a room with his laughter.

Lawrence is survived by his parents Lawrence and Dianna Vester, of Perry, Oklahoma; Son, Anthony Kemmerich, of Germany; Granddaughter, Amya Kemmerich, of Germany; Four sisters, Barbara Russell-Morbley, of Midwest City, Oklahoma; Sheila Vester, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Linda Sullivan, of Round Rock, Texas; Donika Shvette Vester, of Perry, Oklahoma; uncle Basil Williams, of Wichita, Kansas; aunt Wanda Rhodes, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; nephews Terence, James, Derek, Octavius, and Franklin; nieces, Raneisha and Chae; great nephews and great nieces; Along with numerous cousins and friends.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his grandparents, Eddie and Rachel Vester, Willie Russell, and Pauline Parker; Three Uncles, Cecil Williams, Clarence “Drip” Vester, and David Vester, Sr.; Two Aunts, Isabell Lawrence and Paula Russell-King.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Perry, Oklahoma. Reverend James Morbley will officiate. Interment will be at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, Oklahoma.
