Lloyd Irven Payne

August 20, 1926 – November 2, 1985

Lloyd Payne, 59, 512 Holly street, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday at his home.

Graveside rites will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Fairview cemetery, south of Perry. Rev. W. T. Dunn, pastor of the Calvary Baptist church, will officiate.

Payne was the son of Ted and Ruby Payne, He was born Aug. 20, 1926, at Perry. He graduated from Perry high school and married Betty Swendig on Nov. 11, 1948, at Stillwater.

Payne moved to Houston in 1968 and returned to Perry in 1983. He was an employee of the Oklahoma department of transportation.

In addition to Mrs. Payne, of the home, survivors include three sons, LaVern Payne, Tulsa; Dorsey Payne, Denver, Colo.; and Thomas Payne, Pasadena, Texas; and five grandchildren.
