Elane June Johnson, 17, is the daughter of Mrs. Mary A. Johnson, 411 Jackson street. She attended Sumner high school as a freshman, sophomore and junior. Elane was born May 4, 1941, in Perry. While at Sumner she took part in her sophomore and junior class plays and the all-school play in 1956-57. She was a member of the girls basketball team and softball team at Sumner. Her favorite subject is bookkeeping. Plans for the future are uncertain.

Elane June Johnson went home to the Lord on November 16, 2019.
Born on May 4, 1941, in Sumner, Oklahoma, the daughter of James and Mary Johnson. She attended school in Sumner and Perry High School, graduating in 1959. She owned and ran the 400 Grocery in Perry, OK for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Johnson, and sisters Ann Jane Lesh and Evelyn Chestnutt.
Survivors include her brother Tommy Johnson, and her best friend and soulmate, Maxine Fields, and children along with many nephews and nieces.
Graveside services at Grace Hill Cemetery will be held November 20, 2019, at 10 a.m.
