Beatrice (Clifton) Wallingford

March 29, 1902 – September 4, 1979

Mrs. Beatrice C. Wallingford, 77, Tulsa, formerly of the Perry and Sumner communities, died Tuesday at Doctors Hospital at Tulsa.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Parker Funeral home chapel with Rev. W. T. Dunn, pastor of the Calvary Baptist church, officiating. Burial will be at the Sumner cemetery.

Mrs. Wallingford was born March 29, 1902, at Perry, the daughter of Mary LaDue and Joseph S. Clifton. She attended Perry high school and on June 21, 1919, was married to Rex Wallingford at Stillwater. The couple moved from Perry to Siloam Springs, Ark. in 1920 and to Sumner in 1935.

Wallingford preceded his wife in death June 29, 1944. Mrs. Wallingford had resided in Tulsa since 1949. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Lois Myers, Dibble, Okla.; Mrs. Lila Lee Farmer, Manteca, Calif.; Mrs. Joyce Nadine McKee, Venita; Mrs. Carma L. Jelinek, Tulsa; Mrs. Marian Lilly, Portsmouth, Va.; and Mrs. Gladys Hinton, Sand Springs; seven sons, Ralph Wallingford, Perry; Charles W. Wallingford, Denver, Colo.; Robert J. Wallingford, Sand Springs; Donald A. Wallingford, Hobart; Beryl Wallingford, Woodward; Wayne L. Wallingford, Oklahoma City; and James D. Wallingford, Burbank, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Fannie McNeiuy, Lancaster, Calif.; 60 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two children.
