Shop is the favorite subject of Gregory Alan Norman, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Norman, 1215 Elm street. He was born Jan. 31, 1959, at Corpus Christi, Tex. He attended Montclair elementary school at Kingston, R.I., and A. T. Mahon high school before coming to Perry high school in 1973. He was active in football, 1973-76; basketball, 1973; and track 1973-76. Coon hunting is a hobby of Norman. He plans to enter Oklahoma Christian college at Oklahoma City following graduation.

Gregory Alan Norman, 62, of Mannford, passed away on February 11, 2021.
Born on January 31, 1959, in Corpus Christi, Texas, he was the son of Thomas Monroe Norman and LaWanda Anne (Zavodny) Norman. Greg was a Perry High School graduate of 1977. He ran track and played football in school. Greg earned a Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Christian University in 1982. He was a member of the Perry Church of Christ as well as the Mannford Church of Christ.
Greg enjoyed the outdoors. He liked fishing, especially fly-fishing. He was an avid rock collector, always bringing home a new sample to show off. He amassed a large, impressive rock collection over the years. He was a simple man who enjoyed listening to rock and roll and wearing wild Hawaiian shirts.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and LaWanda Norman.
He leaves behind to mourn his loss brother Joel Norman and his wife Nancy of Luther, sister Laurie Gilbert and her husband Danny of Allen, TX, nephew T.J. Norman and his wife Ashley of Jones, niece Kathryn Maxson and her husband Corwin of Edmond, nephew Phillip Norman and his wife Karlee of Edmond, nephew Clark Gilbert and his wife Sarah of Frisco, TX, niece Natalie Gilbert of Allen, TX, former wife Mary Norman (Missy) of Bixby, stepson Tyler Odom and his wife Sabrina of Glenpool, stepson Nathan Odom and his wife Ashley of Jenks, stepdaughter Michelle Odom of Glenpool, grandchildren Zaylee, Skye, Taethynn, Aerolynn, and Aevalynn, great-nieces and great-nephews Elijah, Andrew, Micah, Charity and Scotlynn, and a very special best friend L.D., the dog. L.D. went everywhere Greg did.
Funeral services to honor Greg’s life will be held at Perry Church of Christ on Monday, March 8, at 1 p.m. with minister Troy Woolery officiating. Greg will be laid to rest at the Bohemian Cemetery in Noble County.
