Marion Floyd Gollehon

October 21, 1885 – March 5, 1963

Marion Floyd Gollehon, 77, longtime resident of Cherokee, Oklahoma, died Tuesday after he collapsed in downtown Cherokee.

Born in Shelbina, Missouri, on Oct. 21, 1885, he was the son of James and Sarah Jane (Stalcup) Gollehon. He graduated from Perry High School in 1906.

On December 27, 1915, Gollehon and Velma Wynona Fees were married. He worked as an insurance agent and as the tag agent for Alfalfa County.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Methodist Church, Cherokee.

Survivors include one brother, Lilburn Walter Gollehon, Canton, and one sister, Mrs. Letha Mabel Bahr, Stillwater.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, in the Cherokee First Methodist Church. Rev. Roy C. Rowlan officiated during the services and interment was in the Cherokee Municipal cemetery.
