Victor L. Passow

Oct. 16, 1911 – March 15, 2005

Victor L. Passow, 93, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at Midland Hospice House.

He was born Oct. 16, 1911, in Penn, N.D., the son of William F. and Ida Ebert Passow. He graduated from Perry High School in Perry, Okla. He moved to Topeka in 1980.

Mr. Passow was a carpenter for Markowitz Builders in Emporia and later was a job superintendent for BRB Contractors Inc., where he retired in 1982.

He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church.

He married Leola L. Smith on Jan. 23, 1938, in Perry, Okla. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Richard Passow, Topeka; a daughter, Joan Jackson and her husband, Montie Lee, Allen; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, James Passow, in California.

Mr. Passow was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Deborah Jackson, on June 5, 1959; and a daughter-in-law, Kansa F. Passow, on Sept. 20, 2003.

Mr. Passow was cremated. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hope Lutheran Church. Inurnment will be in Penwell- Gabel’s Memorial Park Cemetery.
