Charles Leslie Divine, Sr.

January 15, 1912 – November 7, 1998

Charlie Leslie Divine Sr., 86, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998, in Katy, Texas, after a lengthy illness.

Born Jan. 15, 1912, in Oklahoma, he was the son of S. B. Divine. He married Elizabeth Mae Hendrick Nov. 8, 1941, in Odessa. She died June 26, 1972.

Survivors include his son, C. Leslie Divine Jr. of Chesterfield, Mo.; his daughter, Millie, and her husband, Richard J. Kruse Jr., of Katy; brother, James Divine of Edmond, Okla.; sister, Georgia Donahue of Ponca City, Okla.; grandsons, Charlie Leslie Divine Ill of Atlanta, Ga., Richard John Kruse Ill of Katy, and Eric Kyle Kruse of Katy.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Dr. David Mindel officiating. Burial will be in Ector County Odessa Cemetery.
