Jack Brumfield, son of Mrs. John Sheets, was born April 23, 1917, in Perry, Oklahoma. He has attended school in Perry, Tulsa, Britton, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and also in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He lives at the present time with his mother, 1306 Fir.

Following graduation he expects to enter a college and study law.

Jack William Brumfield, 80, of Wichita Falls died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 1997.

Born in Perry, Oklahoma on April 23, 1917, he was the son of Warren Franklin and Malinda Hazel Manley Brumfield. Following his graduation from Perry high in 1936, he moved to Oklahoma City where he was employed by the United States department of labor.

On December 25, 1937, he and Nell Bob Edson were married in El Reno, Oklahoma. Jack and Marjorie Varner were married May 16, 1958, in Wichita Falls.

He was retired from the Air Force, earning the rank of master sergeant, and also served in CB’s. He was later employed by T. & M Parts and was a member of the Longhorn Bowling League and Lamar Baptist Church. He had lived in Wichita Falls since 1971.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Steve of Azle, Texas; three daughters, Sandra Ray Nichols of Dallas, Sharon Kay of Wichita Falls and Vicki R. Lathrop of San Jose, Calif; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home with Dr. Finis Beauchamp, pastor of Lamar Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park, Wichita Falls, Texas. Memorial may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
