– 17, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Wilhite of 505 Tenth street. She was born November 20, 1928, in Drumright, and attended grade school there and at Braman.
Before moving to Perry, Miss Wilhite was in high school at Braman and Blackwell. She belonged to the Girls’ Reserve in Blackwell and this year in Perry has been a member of the Red Hots, R.R.F., Perryscope staff, and the senior play. She was elected wrestling queen for the 1945-46 season, and last year was in the junior play. School athletics included basketball at Braman.
After graduation she intends to work. Next fall Miss Wilhite will go to Oklahoma A. & M. college to study speech and dramatics.
Mary Louise (Wilhite) Snow

Mary Louise Snow passed away on May 28, 2011.
Born in Drumright, Oklahoma on November 30, 1928, she was the daughter of James Minor and Ethel Pearl Wails Wilhite. Following her graduation from Perry high school in 1946, she attended Oklahoma A. & M. and was employed as a secretary in the office of the law firm of Singletary and Matthews.
On January 11, 1948, Mary and Bill D. Snow were married in Perry. The couple made their home in Wichita, Kansas. In 1949 Bill was called to service in the U.S. Air Force stationed at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. Mary continued her work as a stenographer for a wholesale liquor distributors. Bill returned to Wichita where the couple made their home for 9 years, before moving to Salt Lake City, Utah. He was employed by the Conveyors and Equipment Company and worked part-time at the University of Utah in the Physics Department. In August 2000, the couple relocated to San Jan Capistrano, California to enjoy retirement. They were married 54 years before Bill died in 2002. Following his death Mary moved back to Salt Lake City.
Mary and Bill were long time members of Cottonwood Presbyterian Church where Mary served as the Office Administrator for many years. She was also a long time member of PEO Chapter N (Philanthropic Educational Organization), serving as President of the Chapter twice. Mary was also elected to the PEO Utah State Board and held all offices including President.
Survivors include: her daughters, Nancy Erickson (Lawrence), San Clemente, CA; and Lea Ann Snow-Southwick, Murray, Utah; grandchildren, Russell Broadstone, Redondo Beach, CA, and Cari Carnell (Joe) of So. Ogden, Utah.
A Memorial will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011, 11:30 AM at Cottonwood Presbyterian Church, 1580 E. Vine Street, Salt Lake City, Utah. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Alzheimers’s Foundation or the American Heart Association.
