Durrell Theodore Treadway, 17-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Dee Treadway, 826 Cedar street, will leave Perry high school with an outstanding athletic and scholastic record behind him.
He was born in Guthrie June 6, 1930, and received his elementary and high school education in Perry. Durrell is a Senior Scout, president of the student council, an honor student, and has been active in football, basketball, and baseball.
Durrell plans to go to college or enter the armed forces. He says he will further his education after discharge, in case he enters military service.
Durrell Theodore Treadway

Durrell Treadway, 74, of Midwest City, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2005.
Born June 6, 1930, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, he was the son of Dee and Koto Kepley Treadway. He was raised in Perry, Oklahoma, where he graduated from Perry High School in 1948. He served in the US Navy for four years during the Korean War.
In 1951, Durrell married Wileeta Paden of Perry. He earned a degree in Geology from Oklahoma State University in 1957, moved his family to Midwest City in 1958, and worked for the FAA until his retirement in 1986.
As an active member of Wickline United Methodist Church, he was a leader of the NOAH (Not Old At Heart) group. He was a former President of Mid/America Kiwanis Club of Midwest City.
He loved golf, traveling, attending OSU football and basketball games, and bragging on his grandchildren.
Survivors include: his wife of 53 years, Wileeta; daughter Teresa Sanders and her husband Sidney; son David Treadway and his wife Cindy; daughter Stacey Price and her husband Steve; and daughter Stephanie Treadway. He will forever be remembered as “PaPa” by his eight grandchildren: Connor Sanders of West Point Military Academy; Cammie and Cori Sanders of Midwest City; Shelby, Hayley and Tanner Price of Austin, Texas; and Paden and Abby Treadway of Edmond.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, February 4, 2005, at Wickline United Methodist Church, 417 MidAmerica Boulevard, Midwest City, Oklahoma, with Reverend Mark Barnett officiating. Interment will be at 3:30 pm at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wickline United Methodist Church Durrell Treadway OSU Scholarship Fund, 417 MidAmerica Boulevard, Midwest City, Oklahoma 73110.
