Beverly Alice (Dunn) McAdams

July 18, 1941 – January 24, 2025

Beverly Alice Dunn McAdams, age 83, died on January 24, 2025 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Born at the family farm home in Billings, Oklahoma on July 18, 1941, she was the daughter of Elzie Dunn and Agnes J. (Hines) Dunn. She attended school in Billings and Perry, Oklahoma, graduating from Perry High School in 1959.

On December 26, 1961, she and Herbert “LeRoy” McAdams were married in Perry, Oklahoma. The couple moved to Georgia and South Carolina while LeRoy served in the Army. They eventually settled in Chickasha, Oklahoma in 1962.

Beverly worked at Grady Memorial Hospital in the pharmacy for 28 years as a pharmacy technician.

Known as the “cake lady” for 50 years, she baked all kinds of cakes, too numerous to count. She was also active in many organization such as the Catholic Daughters of America, TOPS, and OHCE. When she retired, she was a volunteer at Grady Memorial Hospital in the gift shop.

Preceding her in death were: her parents; brother, Allen Dunn; husband, LeRoy McAdams; and son, Timmy McAdams.

Survivors include: her daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Glenn Drewry; daughter and son-in-law, DeAnna and Gilbert Copeland; granddaughter, Kimberly Copeland; grandson and wife, Kyle and Caroline Trotter; and great-grandchildren, Kyson, Kynzlee and Bryor Trotter, all of Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Funeral mass will be held 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Holy Name Catholic Church, Chickasha, Oklahoma. Father Mike Wheelahan will officiate. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha.
