December 31, 1948 – December 24, 2025

Alanna Rae Brown passed away on December 24, 2025, at the age of 76.

Born in Perry, Oklahoma, on December 31, 1948, she was the daughter of Edward and Doris (Baetz) Brown. A 1966 graduate of Perry High School and a 1970 graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma, Alanna began her career as a high school English teacher in Newkirk, where she also served as an advisor for cheerleading, the school newspaper, and the yearbook. She later served as director of Christ Lutheran Children’s Learning Center in Perry.

Alanna was a devoted member of Christ Lutheran Church and served her community through the Noble County Historical Society and the Perry High School Alumni Association.

Her greatest joy was her family. She played a significant role in raising her niece, Staci, and her cousin, Zach, and later continued this tradition when she helped raise her great nephew, Declan. Her love and devotion to her family were the foundation of everything she did.

Preceding her in death were: her parents; her brother, Jim Brown; and the love of her life, Lou Kimple.

Survivors include: her niece, Staci Brown; great nephew, Declan Brown; cousin Kelly St. Clair and her husband, Kenny; Kelly’s children and granddaughter; her sister in law, Charlene Brown, and Charlene’s husband, Tom Lux; along with many other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church in early summer. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, the Perry Alumni Association, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
