Lila Mae (Passow) Posey

November 30, 1930 – May 14, 2005

Lila Mae Posey, 74, of Choctaw, Oklahoma, loving mother and grandmother, went to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on May 14, 2005, after an extended hospital stay.

She was born on November 30, 1930, in Lucien, OK, to Albert and Edna Passow. She attended Perry High School & Enid Business School. She worked as a secretary until she married G.Y. Posey on December 24, 1950, then spent the rest of her life as a wife and mother dedicating herself to the ones she loved.

She had a loving spirit & gentle nature. A woman of few words, but with many expressions & always a smile. Loving & caring mother that always put others first. She was an independent woman that lived a simple life. Her greatest joys were genealogy, yardwork, and antiques and being with her grandchildren. We will cherish the unconditional love, wisdom & selflessness that she instilled within all of us. She will undoubtedly be missed by all who knew her. She had a soft spot in her heart for her pets. Leaving behind her beloved dog Sandy.

She was an active member of Alethia Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church for over 30 years and a faithful servant of the Lord.

Lila was preceded in death by her husband G.Y. and is survived by five children, Carl, Barbara, Randy, Deanna, and Christine as well as eight grandchildren, William & Nicholas Moore, Crystal Young, Chad, Cori & Caleb Posey, Renee & Ryan Farmer.

Service will be at Alethia Temple Pentocostal Holiness Church 1121 S. Post Rd. in Midwest City at 2:00PM Tuesday May 17. Memorials can be made to the Lupus Foundation or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
