Jap LeRoy Dotts

– son of Mrs. Pauline Dotts Eby, 1111 Sixth street. He was born in Perry 18 years ago.

All of Jap’s education has been acquired in the Perry schools. He has been a member of the high school band for several years and a member of DeMolay. He is president of his Sunday school class at the Presbyterian church.

Jap is going to join the army air corps after he graduates.

Richard Leroy “Jap” Dotts

January 8, 1925 – August 24, 1988

Funeral be at 10 a.m. Friday in John Calvin Presbyterian church, 8181 East 31st, east of Memorial, Tulsa, for Jap Dotts, 63, a native of Perry, who died at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday in Park Terrace Nursing home, Tulsa. Graveside rites will be at Grace Hill cemetery in Perry at 2:30 p.m. Moore’s Funeral Home is in charge.

Dotts was born Jan. 8, 1925, in Perry and was a graduate of Perry high school. He had worked as a marketing salesman for Sun Oil Co., since May, 1956. He was married to the former Betty Crowder of Perry who survives. They were parents of three children. Rick of Tulsa; Deborah Gillian, Tulsa, and Denise Shelton, Norman. Other survivors include his father, Dick Eby of Perry; one brother, Dean Dotts, Perry; four grandsons and his mother-in-law, Mrs. A. M. Crowder, Perry.

He was a member of the Presbyterian church. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s association of Tulsa in care of John Calvin Presbyterian church.
