Gilbert Leroy “Bud” Kennedy

August 25, 1915 – September 26, 1991

Gilbert L. “Bud” Ken­nedy, 76, died unexpectedly at approximately 8:15 p.m. Thursday at his home, 1202 North Brookwood.

A memorial service has been set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist church. Rev. Bill Stacy, pastor, will officiate.

Kennedy was born at Lu­cien, Aug. 25, 1915. He was the son of Emmett and Bessie Kennedy. He attended Cooper school in Noble county and graduated from Perry high school. He and Juanita “Jo” Weaver were married at Ellinwood, Kan., on Aug. 28, 1937.

Before his retirement in 1973, Kennedy was an em­ployee of Shell Oil Company.

He was a member of the First United Methodist church, Noble County Family YMCA and Perry Golf and Country club.

His wife is among sur­vivors.

A memorial has been es­tablished to benefit the No­ble County Family YMCA Endowment Fund.
